Swamp Locket Necklace
This piece features a sturdy handmade chain featuring Kambaba jasper, peach moonstone, and teeny gray sunstone beads, as well as a gold locket.
I wanted to make something with a darker, moodier color palette for this locket. I love the swampy-green color of the Jasper (actually not a Jasper in this cause but volcanic rock) and peach moonstone. The moonstone shimmers beautifully in the sun.
The necklace chain itself is about 13”, with an additional 3” of adjustable chain, and lobster claw closure. Nickel-free materials were used.
Moonstone is a feldspar mineral that is often associated with the moon’s energy, and feminine (yin) energy. This stone is said to soothe emotional distress, deflect negative energy, and promote inspiration and psychic abilities.
Kambaba Jasper is actually not Jasper, but a volcanic rock. It has a lovely mottled, swampy-green and black color. Often known for its grounding properties, connecting us to the earth and providing healing and emotional balance.
